Cancellation Policy

Effective: 01 May 2010

On-site Interpreting (SINT) service

  • Full cost of interpreter (1 hour charge + 1 Call out) will apply if cancellation notice is not received within 3 hours before the appointment time for language interpreters.

Telephone Interpreting (TINT) service

  • Minimum 15 minutes charge will apply if cancellation notice is not received within 3 hours before the appointment time.
  • Full duration cost will apply if the cancellation is made 15 minutes after the appointment time.

Telephone Assignments (TA)

  • If the Interpreter rings a client/patient and there is no answer after several attempts, the Interpreter is entitled to the full payment. This claim can only be made after the Interpreter reports the status of the assignment to the requester of the assignment.

Appointment Confirmation (APC)

  • If the Interpreter rings a client/patient and there is no answer after several attempts, the Interpreter is entitled to the full payment. This claim can only be made after the Interpreter reports the status of the assignment to the requester i.e. Clinic Clerk.
  • If the Interpreter rings a client/patient and is told by the client/patient that he/she is not able to attend the clinic, the Interpreter must report the status of the assignment to the requester before closing off the job. The Interpreter is entitled to full payment after informing the requester.

Invoice

Invoice will be issued to the requesting service who has been advised to be in charge of accounts.
